1)

The increased performance refers to the computational performance available. Dependent on the technological conditions, this increase in performance goes into the complete result. Faster IPO clock cycles (as a result of faster processors) and lower PLC cycle times result in, in some cases, significantly improved technological results; e.g. shorter unit/clock cycle times, higher speeds for eccentric turning, higher feed rates for mould building.

The specified number is the upper address number that can be used; the total number of FBs, FCs and DBs is a maximum of 2048!
Note reservations that are applicable; refer to the current documentation.

4096 additional I/O addresses are available and can be seen in STEP 7. However, these are reserved for future applications. For compatibility reasons, these addresses may not be used.
The diagnostic addresses (presently at the upper end 1023, 1022) must be appropriately marshalled in the PLC project; refer to the current documentation.
